HISTORY

A brief introduction of our company history
from the beginning until recent days.

April
1947:

Established Kiyosu Unyu K.K. Started operations mainly in the barge shipment, storage, and land transportation of steel materials.

December
1967:

Merged with Chiyoda Koun and renamed the company Daiichi Koun K.K.(Daiichi Transportation & Terminal Co., Ltd.)

Opened the Yokohama Sales Office.(later became Yokohama branch in March 1976)

August
1973:

Opened the Matsuyama Sales Office at Matsuyama city.(later became Matsuyama branch in April 1999)

October
1974:

Opened the Shinagawa Sales Office at the Port of Tokyo’s Shinagawa Container Terminal and started container terminal operations.

June
1983:

Opened the Oi Sales Office, and started warehouse operations.

April
1993:

Started warehouse operations at Aomi.

August
2002:

Acquired Certificate of Conformity for Quality Management SystemISO9001:2000/JISQ9001:2000.(Currently continued to ISO9001:2015/JIS Q9001:2015)

October
2003:

Started container terminal operations at Tokyo port Aomi public container terminal

June
2008:

Established the Danang representative office in Vietnam.

June
2009:

Became a member of JIFFA (Japan International Freight Forwarders Association Inc.)

January
2011:

Established Busan Global Distribution Center Co., Ltd. (BGDC)at the Port of Busan, South Korea, in a joint venture between four Japanese and South Korean companies.

July
2013:

Established an overseas subsidiary in Surabaya, Indonesia, PT. DaiIchi Koun Indonesia.

January
2016:

Established an overseas subsidiary,PT. Segoro Dai Ichi Warehouse.

May
2018:

Achieved AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) certification.

October
2018:

Established Daiichi Koun (Thailand)Co. ,Ltd. as an overseas subsidiary in Bangkok, Thailand.

July
2019:

PT. DAI ICHI KOUN INDONESIA acquired Certificate of Conformity for Quality Management System ISO9001:2015
